The Return to Regular Food

Alright! I am now returning to regular food after 6 days of the master cleanse. Last night I started eating some raw fruits and veggies after finishing my last batch of "lemonade": 1 banana, 10 slices of cucumber, and 1 apple. Today (day 7), I've had: 1 glass of orange juice, 1 small bowl of oatmeal with organic blueberries, 1 mixed green salad with shredded turkey and olive oil/vinegar as dressing, 1 cup of chai tea, and water. So far my stomach has reacted just fine to the regular foods and I feel great!





I lost 8 lbs. on the cleanse and plan to keep it off with a much healthier diet and more exercise! My top resolution for 2009. Do you have a good workout routine or diet that you follow to stay in great shape? If so, share it here on The Dealio!

Day 4 of the Master Cleanse !

Surviving numerous temptations, I have made it to day 4 of the master cleanse. I notice a very positive difference in my body and mind. The most difficult day for temptations was Disneyland on day 2, so making it through that excursion was the true test that I'm committed. I'm very proud of myself. As an Italian girl, I love to eat, so this is truly one of the most challenging things I've put my body up to recently. 3 more days to go - just in time for the holidays!

I've decided to do the "Master Cleanse" for 7 days before the holidays. Stopped by Whole Foods last night to pick up some senna tea. I had to ask a clerk where it was--he sort of chuckled to himself and said "it has a tricky name to find".

At least they're being honest on the label--no secrets about what this tea will do for you. I laughed out loud saying it's going to be a fun few days here. He smiled back at me and said, "Yeah, have a blast!"

Oh, I will.

Into the Red - Screening this Friday!

Check out the trailer to Into the Red, screening this Friday in Los Angeles, CA. I play the lead role as April, a young woman who has fallen into line with society and is seeking her individuality. Working with director Tiffany Frances and her crew was an amazing experience.


One of the coolest things about this project was that I got to compose an original song for the film, which was a great challenge and an amazing journey. I thank Tiffany for her patience and nurturing of my creative spirit to become April and write a song that captures the essence of April's passion.
