Look at Miss Ohio

Thanks, Kurty D, for introducing me to Gillian Welch and her song, "Look at Miss Ohio":

Oh me oh my oh, look at Miss Ohio
She’s a-running around with her rag-top down
She says I wanna do right but not right now

Gonna drive to Atlanta and live out this fantasy
Running around with the rag-top down
Yeah I wanna do right but not right now

Had your arm around her shoulder, a regimental soldier
An’ mamma starts pushing that wedding gown
Yeah you wanna do right but not right now

Oh me oh my oh, would ya look at Miss Ohio
She’s a-runnin’ around with the rag-top down
She says I wanna do right but not right now

I know all about it, so you don’t have to shout it
I’m gonna straighten it out somehow
Yeah I wanna do right but not right now

Oh me oh my oh, look at Miss Ohio
She a-runnin’ around with her rag-top down
She says I wanna do right , but not right now
Oh I wanna do right but not right now

Fir Trees Are Dangerous

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but check out this article that will scare you into wearing a face mask whenever you are in close proximity to fir trees. Here is the LINK.

I know, I know...after my golf ball story, we're all going to be hot stuff struttin' around with helmets and face masks...but I'm sorry...the world is a dangerous place for humans.

Golfers Are Dangerous

There are warning signs at the Rose Bowl that you are there at your own risk of a golf course and other recreational activity (like tripping over reflectors), but you never really think anything is going to happen to you. Well today, I came close, let's say about 1 foot away, from getting smoked in the head with this Nike golf ball featured in the photo below. A few witnesses stopped and asked if I was OK and I was, but damn...that was a close call. I'm not afraid to run there or anything, but I definitely am paying more attention to the golfers. Especially if I hear the "ping" of a club hitting one of these potential killers. Oh, and if you suck at golf, can you not be at the Rose Bowl while I'm running? Thanks.

Have you ever been hit or nearly hit by a golf ball? How about a golf club? Share it here on the Dealio.

New Balance Spec Commercial - Wrap

I didn't mean to end the video where it did...but you get a quick glance at the crew and me anyway...

Where are they now? I bet you've been wondering what former MD cameraman/editor/producer/actor, Michael Gallagher, has been up to these days...well, here's the dealio:

Michael launched his own show about a month+ ago and it has been a huge success right off the bat. Please show Michael your love and support by watching, sharing, rating, subscribing, commenting - you know the routine - to his channel/videos. Michael is one of the most creative, talented and professional people I know. He deserves all the best. Tell him the dealio sent you!

Congrats on the new show, Gallagher! I'm so proud!

Janelle Monae @ Stubb's BBQ

I paid $25 to see Janelle Monae, Ladyhawke, the Heartless Bastards, the Avett Brothers, and the Decemberists. Not a bad deal. And I was front row. Boom.

A nicely edited piece of the rest of the evening is coming soon. Damn Kodak software.
