A Day in the Life...

in 3 pictures. After spending the day researching and working online, I took run #2 at the Rose Bowl. Felt much better this time around. I'll be ready for the 1/2 in no time! That's my emergency towel that came in handy for some stretching post-run. Like Towlie always says, "Don't forget to bring a towel!"

On my way home from FedEx I saw this sign on the corner of the intersection and it caught my eye...maybe I have been watching too much South Park.

After running 3.3 miles, I wasn't in the mood to cook my own food, so I stopped by Vegan Plate in Studio City. This is one of my favorite Thai places in the neighborhood. I pretty much get the same thing every time I go - the yellow curry dinner with soy chicken. It's delicious and seems pretty healthy, though I actually don't know the details on yellow curry. I didn't eat the spring roll. So I think I'm alright.

Now, I'm home researching some more...leave some comments to entertain me - please!

  1. Vegan Plate — I drive past this place ALL the time! But I had NO idea it was there. And I've been in the area for over 5 years. :P

So that good huh? Are you Vegan or do you just enjoy the cuisine?

I actually live just up the street by Ventura and Vineland. One of my favorite places to eat is The Daily Grill at Laurel Canyon and Ventura. I worked there for a couple years and know most of the staff still. Ever been there?

  3. I love Thai food. No, I'm not vegan, but I do enjoy their cuisine now and then. Trader Joe's has these amazing vegan chocolate chip cookies that I swear are better than real ones.

Yeah, I've been to that Daily Grill a few times. Love their special grilled cheese and tomato soup. Classic.

  5. Leah,
Enjoyed your time on Mahalo! Saw it from the beginning to the end. I even watched episodes with my 4 kids on my ipod, though I'd usually screen it first-- their pretty young... so some of the TWIYT wasn't always something I'd let them watch... Anyhoo... you're reference to towlie struck me as an interesting reference, I was thinking Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy. Don't watch much Southpark. Interesting that if you wikipedia, you see where Douglas Adams came up with his version, versus Southparks' creators... Interesting... here's the link to Hitchhikers... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phrases_from_The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy#Knowing_where_one.27s_towel_is
